After several days of being cooped up in the house from the Arctic Blast 2008, Christmas came as a welcome break to the monotony of yet another day of snow (which I suppose we'll need to get used to with moving to
CDA and all!).
Christmas Eve and Christmas day were spent relaxing with Chad's family and eating, and eating and eating yet again. Good times and good food were had by all. We both received several generous gifts from Chad's family and sister. The day after Christmas we celebrated with Kari's Mom/Stu, Grandma and little brother. Baby Peterson even received a couple welcome (and much needed) gifts over the long holiday.
The beginning of 2009 has spurred us into action, preparing to place our townhouse on the market by the end of January. All the packing, cleaning and organizing has allowed Kari to feed into her nesting urge and it has made us both more aware than ever of the big changes ahead of us in 2009. In less than 4 months we will be parents (holy crap!) and in 6 months we will be leaving behind everything we have ever known to set out on a new adventure in
CDA.
Our friends/partner from
CDA called the other day to report 72" of snow in town... I guess we better invest in a snow blower before next winter. Another partner has been enticing Chad with all the local ski reports and promises that luckily for us, urology is recession proof (we were beginning to get a little worried!).
Stay tuned, 2009 is sure to be action packed for this Peterson party of 2, soon to be 3!
Here are some pics from the past few weeks, enjoy!
Uhhh... I think Kari wins!
